MIKE HOFFERT
Executive Producer
I started off learning the ropes of film as a stunt choreographer for a small production company in Hawaii which later turned into a passion for cinematography and editing that I took with me when I deployed to Iraq in 2006 and began documenting the daily activities of my fellow soldiers through some of the worst times of the Iraq war. I really threw myself at film because I found such a love for it and I was always reaching for the next bold and creative project I could do; I began screenwriting, directing, and sound design work which eventually lead me to enroll at the Academy of Art University where I've excelled and really honed my abilities.
I'm passionate and it resonates with my work and academics. At AAU I have been awarded President's Honors twice and I am working hard to stay on track to graduate Cum Laude in 2016. My last two short films ‘Unsung Heroes’ and ‘Sins of the Past’ have received acclaim both academically, professionally, and from my fan base of over 4,000 followers.
MARTIN HOFFERT
Co-Writer/Actor/Executive Producer
Martin has always had an affinity for the old west both in study and in movies. He grew up watching the escapades of John Wayne, Randolph Scott, Jimmy Stewart, Henry Fonda, and Clint Eastwood; just to name a few. He studied theater in High School but turned down an opportunity for a higher education in the arts in order to work on the family farm, where he felt he was needed more. Not exploring his love for acting became a regrettable offense as the years moved on, until he starred in his first motion picture; Sins of the Past.
Aside from starring in the series as William Sackett he is also co-writing the remaining films in the series with Chris Hoffert, his son.
MATTHEW YETTER
Executive Producer/Actor
Cursed with wanderlust, Matthew has lived in more places than most people ever visit -- nine states and too many addresses to count. He has finally settled in Dillon, MT thanks to being able to telecommute as the Customer Support Manager for Pixologic, the developer of the Academy Award-winning ZBrush software. Bit by the acting bug at a young age, drama and film have been a passion throughout his life, leading to a number of roles in college or community productions. Today, he indulges that side of his personality by participating in Bannack Days, the Ghost Walk and the Virginia City Grand Victorian Balls.
He is best known around Dillon as the lunatic behind the "Holiday House" where he puts on elaborate displays for Halloween (complete with holographic ghosts) and Christmas (with over 25,000 lights synced to music). In his so-called free time he also enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, brewing mead and directing a handbell choir. 2015 will see the culmination of his "Continental Conquest" as a two week trip to New Zealand will give him visits to every inhabited continent.
It is Matthew's pleasure to help finance the production of The Big Muddy series, and perhaps find a fun role to fill along the way.
